We meet Antoine Clasen, Director and great-great-grandson of one of the founders, in the hushed atmosphere of Bernard-Massard’s cellars in Grevenmacher. We discuss his career, pivotal moments in the history of this family business, and the impact of climate change on production.

We then head to Clos des Rochers to continue our conversation amidst the estate’s vineyards. It’s the perfect setting to talk about crémants and wines, the international success of the brand, as well as succession, travel and inspiring encounters.

A passionate conversation with a charismatic, enthusiastic man who loves producing quality products.

BIL has always been quite close to Bernard-Massard (…). We are a company that invests heavily in infrastructure and the bank has always been there for us when we needed it. Another positive is that we still know a lot of people at BIL (…), we still have access to people – whether from Luxembourg or abroad – and a very easy relationship.

Bernard-Massard is the leading family-owned producer of still and sparkling wines in Luxembourg. With its 38 hectares of vineyards, the company, founded in 1921, produces over 3,900,000 bottles annually, exports its wines to more than 20 countries and employs 95 people.
