We spoke with Stéphanie Jauquet, manager of several gourmet brands in Luxembourg, in a new episode of the “Coffee with...” series: an entrepreneur, a favourite meeting place, and a long chat over coffee.
G.A.N.G. is the story of an ambitious project conceived by two friends and restaurant owners who are passionate about their profession: Stéphanie Jauquet and Salvatore Barberio.
In May 2020, at the height of the Covid pandemic, the Cactus Inn – which had been established in the Belle Étoile shopping centre for 25 years – was forced to close its doors. In August 2023, a new food court concept opened in its place: G.A.N.G.
There has been a lot of talk about this ambitious and original project. We went to meet Stéphanie Jauquet, Salvatore Barberio and Manu Konsbruck, the creators of this concept, to hear about a success story founded on friendship, entrepreneurial energy and a love of good produce.
It’s a real human adventure which illustrates that, with passion and hard work, even the craziest of dreams can come true.

This adventure changed us for life. It’s our life’s project and we are lucky to have been able to realise it.
It’s a project based on love for our profession, and through it we’ve achieved everything we dreamed of doing.

There’s something for everyone and every age group, making it a unique place where everyone can feel at home.
The success of the project proves that these three entrepreneurs were right. It’s a great achievement and we never for a moment regretted our decision. We’re proud that BIL was involved in the project.

G.A.N.G. stands for Générosité Amour Nourriture Goût (generosity, love, food and taste)!
It officially opened its doors in the Belle Étoile shopping centre in Bertrange on 31 August 2023.
The concept was devised by two friends and restaurant owners who are well known in Luxembourg and passionate about their profession: Stéphanie Jauquet and Salvatore Barberio. This 1800 m2 food hall can accommodate up to 500 people and represents an investment of EUR 10 million.
There are two restaurants (Grand Café and Specto), a bar (Um plateau) and a food hall offering eight different types of cuisine.
