In high-level sports, performance is a total commitment. It shapes trajectories, moulds personalities and demands constant discipline. But when a sporting career reaches its finish line, the transition to a new career begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samy Picard\u2019s career perfectly illustrates this transition. As a former professional athlete, he knew how to take the lessons learnt from his sporting career \u2013 discipline, resilience, a taste for hard work and team spirit \u2013 and apply them continuously in the world of finance. Today, as Head of Wealth Management Luxembourg at BIL, while remaining inextricably linked to the Luxembourg sports ecosystem as President of the Luxembourg Basketball Federation, he operates in an environment where excellence is cultivated differently, but with the same intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his management work as well as in his personal life, Samy applies the very same principles that he learnt out on the basketball court: precision, forward thinking, active listening and team spirit. He believes that collective success depends on the commitment of each individual, and he ensures that these values guide the daily work of his employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced in collaboration with COSL, this portrait is part of a broader context: that of the long-standing partnership between BIL and the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee (Comit\u00e9 Olympique et Sportif Luxembourgeois<\/em> \u2013 COSL). As a Gold Partner of COSL since 2023, BIL actively supports Team L\u00ebtzebuerg athletes in their international competitions, while helping to promote the universal values of sport \u2013 pushing oneself to excel, fostering team spirit and commitment \u2013 in Luxembourg and beyond. This partnership illustrates BIL\u2019s desire to contribute to the promotion of Luxembourg sport and to support meaningful initiatives in line with its overall sponsorship policy in sport, culture, education and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
